Authentication Timedout

I join the server, try to pick a weapon, the "ok" button turns darker and I cannot join, after a while I get disconnected from the server.

Server side issue, happens unfortunately from time to time. Should be gone soon (hopefully) again.

Yeah I was able to play lately without problems but it started yesterday and it happens on all the servers I've got access to (3 :s).

hi,

i play with several friends PB fro some weeks. It was ok, but since 1 or 2 weeks we all have the same problems:

1.) Joining a Server is not possible: authentification timed out.
2.) Creating a server is not possible: could not create server
3.) in 1 of 100 cases we can join the server. But than very often the exp.-Points will be "forgotten" by the system. It will be ALWAYS forgotten when the game mode is search&destroy or campain.

well, this is not fun...

This is beta. And sometimes things don't work as intended (regarding the exp problems).

I have the suspicion that there are problems with the servers so you can't connect.

yeah, thats helps a lot.

perhaps it is a lil bit more helpfull, if someone from the developers can give us some information about the state of the debugging.

Then you should refer to the Gamersfirst forums ( www.forums.gamersfirst.com ) since G1 is hostng the servers.

From what I've heard they had some issues last night and are working on a fix. During that time you should creat EU servers.

i dont think we will talk to the server-hosters. this doesnt help anyone.
the problems i decribed in my first post, arent problems from the last night, they are steady and repeatably. perhaps the people who make PB should try to play, so they will see how uncomfortable the situation is - since several weeks.

as i said, g1 are the guys responsible not only for the servers but also for publishing the game. so they're much more closer to the server issues than we are here. the version worked fine in the beginning, so i really doubt it is a software issue.

i browsed a lil in this forum and found a bunch of posts dealing with this lag-, exp-pointslost- and server-join-issues.

generally there was the answer: "it will be fixed in some time".

since some posts are from month ago, i doubt there will be any fixes, speciall when i read: its not the software, its the server (i can imagine what the server-hoster will tell us).
